BioSol SEC® Column

BioSol SEC® is a high-performance size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) column engineered for precise molecular size-based separation of proteins, monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, and polymers. Designed with optimized pore structure and uniform particle technology, BioSol SEC® ensures excellent resolution, reproducibility, and recovery for both analytical and preparative applications. Size-Exclusion Chromatography (SEC) is a non-adsorptive separation technique that differentiates molecules solely based on their hydrodynamic volume. When used with aqueous mobile phases, it is referred to as gel-filtration chromatography, while with organic mobile phases, it is known as gel-permeation chromatography (GPC). The BioSol SEC® column is packed with highly stable, porous gel or particle materials. During analysis, molecules pass through the column carried by the mobile phase—smaller molecules enter the pores and elute later, while larger molecules are excluded from the pores and elute earlier. The pore size of the packing material determines the molecular weight range for effective separation.
